Ok, I'm sorry but I'm a huge noob. Can someone please tell me where I can find the game key for TMN.

Edit: Never mind. I was reading around and found out you have to have the cd. I downloaded it from the net so oh well.

your game key for trackmania nations is located in the file Default.SystemConfig.Gbx (open with a texteditor), you can find the file in your trackmania nations main folder.

You can find the part of your game key within this file if you search after your login name of tmn.

you could buy trackmania original for few bucks in a store, $5 - $10, then you can register this key at www.trackmanianations.com and then you can use the peer2peer function in Trackmania Nations too, so everyone else will be able to see your car/avatar.

be careful with this, if the seller already registered this key to his accountlogin you can't register it anymore on your login name, but before i'd buy just a tmn key, i'd buy trackmania united, it's a bit more expensive but you have every trackmania games in one game, and updated.

Just figured I'd say that as far as I know, TMU keys do not work yet for TMN validation (keep an eye on the official TM forum though).

Basically, you can customize your car, horn, and avatar in TMN, but unless you buy a retail copy of one of their previous games (TM:Original or TM:Sunrise) and register that game's cd key for TMN by logging into the TMN website with the same profile you use online, nobody else but you will see your customizations.

Basically, if you own a retail version of TM (like Original, Sunrise, or United), you can use that key to authenticate your account at the tmn official website. After authenticated, other racers can see your custom car adn/or avatar.
