Hey guys - here's my new rig:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 6400+ AM2
ASUS M2N SLI 2000FSB Motherboard
DUAL CHANNEL 8GB (4x2GB) DDR-2 800MHZ PC-6400 RAM
500GB SATA2 7200rpm 16MB CACHE HARD DRIVE
20X DVD-RW DUAL LAYER W/LIGHTSCRIBE
nVidia GeForce 8500GT 1GB DVI/HDTV PCI-Express Video Card
6-CHANNEL DIGITAL SOUND ONBOARD
10/100/1000 Fast Ethernet Network Card (onboard)
BBC MID-TOWER ATX VOYAGER CASE
- 3X CASE COOLING FANS
- OKIA A-POWER 550 WATT ATX POWER SUPPLY
- I also use an 80GB Phantom USB Portable Hard Drive for Back-Up
- In the pictures you'll see my Behringer Truth B2030A Near-Field Monitors which I use for audio(they are studio quality - Bi-Amped with dual amplifiers and active crossovers in each - I do some recording). They are mounted with custom built/welded steel frames for zero vibration.(I made them)
- Logitech Gamepad
- Cheap Keyboard and Optical Mouse
- CRT Monitor - Upgrading to Flat Panel Soon
- Could use a pair of smokin' video cards, and a psu upgrade, but not bad. I know nothing is optimized for 8 gb of ram, but I got it anyways. It is fast though!
Wife's rig:
- Dell Latitude Lap Top
- CD/DVD Burner
- Intel Pentium M Processor 1.73Ghz
- 512MB Ram
- 40GB Hard Drive
- External Keyboard & Optical Mouse
- Custom Built Polycarbonate Keyboard Guard(Yes - I like to make stuff, see the picture) to keep the cat from laying on the keys and making it goofy.
Son's rig: (my old one)
- Amd mobo and Amd XP2700 Processor/1GB Ram
- GeForce 9700 Video Card
- DVD Burner
- CD Rom
- Floppy Drive
- 40GB Hard Drive
- Antec PSU
- On-board sound
- Linksys Network Card
- Thermaltake WinGO Gaming Tower(nice - but too big: slide out bays, extra fans with speed controls, blue cathode lights, etc.) Next to the pirates chest.
Daughter's rig:
- IBM Net Vista(horizontal box)
- Intel Pentium 4 1.8Ghz Processor
- 256MB Ram(needs more)
- 40GB Hard Drive
- CD Rom
- Linksys Network Card(new so I can hook her up)
- Old CRT Monitor(gets mine when I get the Flat Panel)
- Mini satellite speakers w/sub-woofer
Got a Dell Pentium 3 tower I finally stripped down for the drives - too old to upgrade.
